Can I ask before I buy?

I would always love to hear from you guys! You can get in touch here or you can email me directly meliz@basmentvintage.com (I usually reply within 48 hours!). You can also follow and get in contact via our social media links on the side of the screen.

Can I return/exchange my item?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer returns or exchanges. Items will be described as well as they possibly can be including all measurements and stains/tears if any. Please make sure you have read all info about an item before purchasing – please feel free to contact me if you need any more information about an item.

How much is postage & packaging?

At checkout, you will have the option to select the country of destination and will have the option to choose (where appropriate) your preferred method of shipping.  For deliveries within UK, the options are 1st Class Signed For or 2nd Class Signed For options as standard delivery. Postage and packaging may vary on specific items, but prices will always be made clear before checkout.

Do I need to register to purchase an item?

Yes! Signing up means your details are registered to our system and saves you time each time you make a purchase with Basement.

Is it safe to use my card on your site?

Absolutely! This website uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology which keeps all of your information (name, address and card details) totally safe should someone or something else try and get hold of the site. We also take Paypal!

Do you buy vintage clothing or antiques?

Yes, I do! I am always on the lookout for special, one-of-a-kind pieces in vintage clothing and antiques – if you think you have something I’d be interested in then simply send me an email!

What if my item doesn't fit me?

All measurements and item details will always be in the description to give you the best idea of what a piece is like. Unfortunately, we do not currently offer returns or exchanges so please make sure you have read and checked all items specifics before purchasing. If you have any worries or queries, then please do not hesitate to contact me and I will try and help you the best I can!

How long until I receive my item?

Depending on what postage & packaging option you go for at checkout, your item can be with you as soon as next day! Purchases made before 12pm will be shipped same and day and you will always receive an email letting you know when your item has been dispatched.

What are the benefits of registering?

Registering with us allows you to make quicker purchases as your details will already be logged in with us. You will also receive emails giving you a first look into any discounts/promotions and events before everyone else!

How often do you add items to the site?

As often as possible! I am constantly sourcing new products and aim to have them on the website ready for you as soon as possible. You can find out about our new items via the site and our social media.

Has the item been cleaned? How do I clean my item?

All vintage clothing for sale has been steamed – not cleaned! Caring for your vintage item is crucial to maintaining the lifespan of an item; so always read labels if possible!  Small stains can often disappear with steam and a soft brushing. All antiques will have been given a dry dusting (no solutions or chemicals).

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Sorry, we do not currently offer gift vouchers.
